Gachagua Accuses Kindiki of Making Alcohol Called 'Gathuri Ngui'
Rigathi Gachagua has made fresh allegations against Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, claiming he manufactures an alcoholic drink called 'Gathuri Ngui'.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has launched a fresh attack on Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, making allegations about his involvement in alcohol production.
Gachagua, who leads the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), claimed that Kindiki operates an alcohol manufacturing facility where a drink allegedly known as 'Gathuri Ngui' is produced.
Speaking during a political address at Kĩrĩrĩmbĩ, Gachagua made the allegations while criticising the Deputy President.
“Kindiki arĩ na kĩganda gĩake gĩa gũthondeka njoohi. Njoohi ĩno ĩretwo ‘Gathuri ngui’ nĩwe ũthondekaga,” Gachagua said.
The remarks mark another episode in the ongoing political exchanges between Gachagua and Kindiki, who have remained on opposing sides since the fallout between Gachagua and President William Ruto.
Gachagua's latest comments introduce allegations about Kindiki's alleged business interests into the wider political rivalry involving the two leaders.
However, the claims about the alleged alcohol manufacturing facility and the drink named 'Gathuri Ngui' have not been independently verified.
The exchange comes as political leaders continue positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election, with the relationship between Gachagua, Kindiki and Ruto remaining a prominent feature of Mt Kenya politics.
